Introductory/Intermediate Camps
These workshops provide an opportunity for children to explore creativity and storytelling in a professional theatre setting. The supportive environment provides exposure to the theatre arts while helping students build confidence in their own ideas and imagination. Through creative dramatics, improvisation and writing, each class will work together as an ensemble to develop a final performance.
Introductory Camp is designed for children 8-11 with an interest in theatre. No experience or training required.
Introductory Camp: June 21-June 26 Monday – Friday 9am-12pm, Saturday 9am-11:30am
Intermediate Camp is designed for students ages 10-13 with some theatre experience or training.
Intermediate Camp: June 28-July 3 Monday – Friday 9am-12pm, Saturday 9am-11:30am

Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop This 2-week intensive is designed to equip young adults with a polished audition package, focusing on professional and college audition preparation. Students will take Master Classes with members of the Lamb’s Players Resident Ensemble in Acting, Voice and Movement to encourage individual and ensemble growth. Each student’s audition package will be designed specifically to their unique abilities and will include:
1 classical monologue
1 contemporary monologue
1 up-tempo song
1 ballad
1 headshot
1 resume
The work will be showcased in a final performance on the Lamb’s Players Theatre Resident stage.
Former students have been accepted to such programs as: Tisch School for the Arts, Syracuse University, USC, UC Irvine, and Boston Conservatory.
Ages: 12 - 19, Admittance by audition only.

ARTISTIC STAFF
Colleen Kollar Smith
The director of Summer Education, Colleen is also a member of Lamb’s Players Acting Ensemble and the resident choreographer. She has been seen in Joyful Noise, Leaving Iowa, Winslow Boy, Smoke on the Mountain, Life x 3, Hello, Dolly!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Secret Garden, among others. Before coming to LPT she earned her BA in Drama from UC Irvine with Honors in Musical Theatre and spent a year with Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Educational Outreach program in Chicago.
Kerry Meads
Besides Camp Coordinator she wears many hats at LPT as actor, director, and playwright. On staff since 1976, she now serves as an Associate Artistic Director and heads up LPT’s acclaimed Educational Outreach Program. As a performer she has been seen in such productions as The Great Divorce; Quilters; Tartuffe; Godspell; She Loves Me; A Woman of No Importance; You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown; Till We Have Faces; Pump Boys and Dinettes; Into The Woods; The Secret Garden, Enchanted April and Hello, Dolly! Her directing credits include Private Lives, The Boys Next Door, Amadeus, Beau Jest, The Foreigner and You Can’t Take It With You. As resident playwright, her work includes Boomers, American Rhythm, My Asparagus Is Growing Fine and LPT’s annual Festival of Christmas.
Jon Lorenz
Born and raised in San Diego, Jon Lorenz works as actor, director, playwright, composer, and teacher. He holds a BA in directing from Cal State Fullerton and a minor in music from Chapman University, and is very passionate about music, theatre, storytelling and the impact it has on audiences of all ages. Jon's directing credits include Love's Fire (Cal State Fullerton), Looking Glass Girl (Lyceum Theatre), and 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Annie Get Your Gun, and Bye Bye Birdie for CCT. Jon has composed music and lyrics for numerous musicals produced locally and nationally by Christian Youth Theatre, including Little Women and The Legend of Pocahontas. For Lamb's Players, he contributed several original songs and arrangements for 2007’s Festival of Christmas and An Ideal Husband. His latest musical, Alice, for which he wrote book, music, and lyrics, was selected by Stephen Schwartz to be a part of the 2005 ASCAP/Disney Musical Theater Workshop. Jon has worked in educational theatre for the last 16 years and is currently a member of the resident ensemble at Lamb's Players Theatre.
Season Duffy
Season was born and raised in San Diego and performing has always been her passion. She is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a major in Acting. She has performed locally with Christian Youth Theatre, The San Diego Zoo, Starlight Musical Theatre, Moonlight, The Theatre in Old Town, La Jolla Stage Company, The Old Globe, and of course, Lamb's Players Theatre where she is a presently a member of the Resident Ensemble. Some of Season’s favorite roles include, Little Red in Into the Woods, Martha in The Secret Garden, Princess Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Denise in Smoke on the Mountain, Marian in Music Man and Ado Annie in Oklahoma! Season also enjoys teaching private vocal lessons to local students, helping them find their own voice.
Lance Arthur Smith
Lance Arthur Smith has worked professionally as an actor, fight choreographer and educator for more than 15 years. He has been seen at LPT in Godspell, Life x 3, Room Service, Hello, Dolly!, An American Christmas and others. He's worked around the country for companies such as Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, Tricklock, Cygnet, Mo'olelo, Moonlight, and the San Diego Rep. After receiving his BA in Theatre, with concentrations in Acting and Playwriting, from the University of New Mexico he spent a summer season at PCPA Theaterfest before moving to Los Angeles. There, he served in the acting ensemble for ARK Theatre and was mentored in classical technique by former Royal Shakespeare Company member Paul Wagar. His plays were also produced by ARK, and his writing has appeared in various film and television projects. Lance has choreographed fights for Walt Disney Productions, Discovery Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, African American Theatre Ensemble, ARK Theatre (LA Weekly award for A Clockwork Orange), and LPT. He served as acting faculty and head of stage combat at Firespark! Theatre Festival for high school students in Gainesville, GA.
