October 1, 2021
In June we were excited to set October 2 as the reopening date for Lamb’s Players Theatre!
Yes, we would be closed for over 18 months, but things were finally looking brighter. The vaccines and health policies were allowing the community to come back to life.
Then the Delta variant hit.
So, now we - you and I - face new choices.
LAMB’S choices:
Stay closed another 6 months until the pandemic passes (with the great risk of not being able to survive)
OR Reopen with a Health Protocol that meets the requirements of the performers union Actors Equity, and County health guidelines.
Your choices:
Stay away from all indoor theatre for another 6 months until the pandemic passes and mask requirements & proof of vaccination or negative covid tests are ended
OR Follow the Reopening Health Protocols and enjoy live theatre once again.
If you have tickets and choose not to come because you are not yet comfortable returning to indoor performances, or you do not wish to follow the required health protocol, call the LAMB’S Box Office (619.437.6000 Wed thru Sat noon to 6) before your performance date and we will bank the value of your tickets into your account for use at a later date.
As a not-for-profit professional theatre LAMB’S operates under contract with the performers union Actors Equity. As a licensed indoor performing arts venue we follow the guidelines of County health officials. All San Diego professional theatres are following the same Reopening Health Policies.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre when you are ready.
With gratitude for your support during these astonishing times,
Robert
